The first birthday is a much anticipated milestone for every family!  Your baby graduates into toddler-hood and while you may long to relive those precious days, the future is full of anticipation for what kind of person your child will grow into.  The best way to document this time in your child's life is with a smash cake session!

Grace came to my home studio located in Layton for her one year session, armed with an adorable grin and bright blue eyes that grew twice as big at the sight of her sweet and simple ivory cake!  It was so fun to get to play with her for a few photos at first which really helped her personality to come through.  She was the daintiest little thing when it was time to dive into her cake.  She would stick one finger in at a time so as not to make a mess, and after a few bites to herself, she had decided to share with her mom and grandma who had tagged along for her session.  How cute is she?!
